Jan Levine: Staal dealing with post-concussion symptoms
Absence leaves hole on blue line - airjan23
Holden will be playing more which is fine, on his strong side too. What shrewd move to trade for him, considering now with injuries. Hope Staal's career is lingered by these injuries. |

it's a no brainer from the Rangers end, but I don't see why the Jets would want that |

Yeah, that seems to be the only issue. How bout we spice it up with Lindberg.
They had to see that shot against Columbus |

I don't think the Jets ever wanted to trade Trouba, and I think he has rescinded his trade request
I'd love him, I always wanted him, but I don't think it's a realistic target

Yup.
They do have a pretty young defense. With Bufflin being the only guy kind of up there. |

I agree with you, and I think that their other right shot defender would be a more likely available. And then they make Trouba happy, and bolster the forward group.

It's not that crazy.
I'll throw out another name -- Conor Murphy from Arizona. More of a developmental type guy that is playing on the first year of a middle class defensemen salary, but I think is a realistic option for the right price. He's still developing, however.

I wouldn't trade Miller. I think people are being very short sighted when it comes to this team, they have a great core of young forwards that can keep this team competitive for years.
Yes Staal will leave a hole in the defense in the short term, all Trouba does even if they were to get him would be to plug the hole left by Staal and create one left by Miller.
Id much rather see them look to trade a prospect or picks then a proven NHL talent like Miller to plug a hole. People were so upset about Duclair, we barely saw him play (granted he looked god in his brief stint) and as of now, he'd still be in the Hartford with this roster.
Edit: and before anyone goes nuts, i'm not saying they can get Truba, or even get him for a prospect and picks, just saying thats what I would rather see them entertain to plug a hole (not the long term solution... that will be Shatty _ |

I have defended Miller on here since day one. Trouba wouldn't just plug a hole. He would be a #1 right side pairing for years to come. That would be a smart hockey move for this team. Our problem isn't offense its that god awful sh!t pile on the right side.
Like Jimbo said though, it wont happen, so it really doesn't matter |

No. I am talking about Tyler Myer. I have no interest in Big Buff at that price.
I can see a trade with Winnipeg. Just not for Trouba. |
